The entire club was out in force this Sunday, continuing intensive training preparations ahead of their opening fixtures. Meanwhile, the club’s Under-11 squad has just returned from a highly successful first rugby tour, celebrating a weekend full of team spirit, laughter, and fantastic rugby.

The U11 tour kicked off with a memorable team-bonding trip to Splashdown waterpark, featuring hilarious team challenges—including good-natured parents standing by as forfeits while their kids threw drinks in their faces.

When it came time for rugby, the squad was warmly welcomed by host clubs Poole RFC and Ellingham & Ringwood. Competing in a non-competitive, development festival environment at Ellingham & Ringwood, the Vectis U11s brought boundless energy to the pitch. Every player threw themselves into the action, showcasing brilliant teamwork and embodying exactly how a tour ought to be played.

"Roll on the Vectis U12 tour next season—can't wait!" said Vectis RFC Club Chair Allan Bridges, praising the amazing group of players and parents who represented the club with pride both on and off the field.

The U11 squad is now energized and preparing for the New Milton festival in two weeks' time.

Vectis RFC would like to issue a huge thanks to tour sponsor S Whittington LTD for making the trip possible, and to Contour Sports for designing the standout Under-11 tour shirts. Finally, a special shout-out goes to volunteers Lisa and Kirsty, whose unbelievable behind-the-scenes administration and seamless organization brought the amazing tour to life.
