Data Management & GMS Integration

This section outlines the technical administration of data and our integration with the RFU’s Game Management System (GMS) and Hampshire RFU.

The GMS Ecosystem: As an affiliated club, Vectis RFC does not host its own primary database for player registrations. Instead, we use the RFU’s GMS. Data entered into GMS is governed by the RFU’s data protocols. We pull necessary reports from this system to manage match-day squads and emergency contacts.

Data Security: We implement industry-standard security measures to protect data collected via this website (e.g., SSL encryption). Access to player data is restricted to "Need to Know" club officials—specifically the club management committee and age specific coaches and managers.

Data Transfers: As part of the Hampshire RFU Constituent Body (CB), certain data regarding player transfers, county trials, or disciplinary matters may be shared with Hampshire RFU officials to facilitate regional competition and governance.

1. Club Affiliation and Governance
Vectis RFC is a youth rugby club affiliated with the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and operates under the jurisdiction of Hampshire RFU as its Constituent Body (CB).

All members, players, and parents must abide by the RFU’s Rules, Regulations, and the Core Values of Rugby: Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline, and Sportsmanship.

2. Safeguarding and Player Welfare
The safety of our young players is our absolute priority.

Usage of this site, including any forums or registration portals, must comply with the RFU Safeguarding Policy.
