Vectis RFC was thrilled to host an exclusive, action-packed youth rugby camp held this past weekend run by AD Sports Lab (AD Sports Lab - Instagram).

Hosted by Vectis at the Isle of Wight RFC’s clubhouse, the two-day event provided an unforgettable experience for local young athletes.

Ten lucky boys and girls spent Saturday and Sunday immersed in the sport, learning new skills, practicing targeted drills, and drawing on the elite expertise of AD Sports Lab founder, Amy Dale.

A Premiership women’s rugby player and former U20 England international, Dale has followed rugby as a lifelong passion. Beyond being an exceptional player and coach, she also serves as a proud ambassador for Vectis RFC, making her involvement with the club’s youth players incredibly special.

A major highlight of the weekend was a surprise virtual Q&A session. The young attendees had the unique opportunity to jump on FaceTime with another Premiership standout and current Red Roses player, Millie Hyett, who shared her own insights and experiences from the top tier of women's rugby.

The Big Season Kick-Off

For those worried they missed out on the weekend's action, or for players simply raring to get back on the pitch, the wait is almost over. Vectis RFC is officially kicking off the new season this Sunday, September 6th.

The opening session will take place at the IWRFC grounds at Wootton Bridge Recreation Ground. Whether you are a returning Vectis player ready for another great year, or a newcomer who just wants to have a go at the sport, all are welcome.

The upcoming season promises loads of opportunities to play, train, attend exciting tournaments and festivals, meet great friends, and, most importantly, have fun.
